Dear Michelle,
My name is Annalisa. I’m 26 years old and I come from Italy.
I want to begin by saying how deeply passionate I am about your books, especially The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness. They truly saved my childhood. I can hardly put into words how much they helped me: not only to get through a difficult, even traumatic, upbringing, but also to grow into the person I am today.
I first read your books more than ten years ago, and yet I find myself coming back to them again, as if no time had passed. I still feel incredibly attached to them, almost on a spiritual level. I’ve always felt as though those stories were speaking directly to me. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for creating them.
One of my greatest wishes, while I wait for the day I can share your books with my future children, is to see a film or a TV series based on your beautiful saga. I’ve read many rumors online, but I’m never sure what’s true and what’s not.
So I wanted to ask you this, personally: as of now, in November 2025, do you believe there’s a chance we might one day see a TV adaptation of Chronicles of Ancient Darkness? Is there a project that might succeed in the future?
Is there anything your fans can do to support the idea of an adaptation?
Thank you for taking the time to read my message.
With admiration and gratitude,
Annalisa

Dear Annalisa, thank you for that truly gorgeous picture, and I’m so glad and honoured that the Wolf Brother books helped you through what sounds like a very difficult childhood – and that they still speak to you as an adult. As regards a film or TV adaptation, there are currently no plans for this, but of course there is always a chance that this may change in the future. Although I think it would be expensive, particularly as Wolf would probably need to be computer-generated, since it’s impossible to train wolves. But either way, I don’t mind. What matters is that people such as yourself continue to read and enjoy the stories. Thank you again for getting in touch – and may the guardian run with you! With very best wishes, Michelle
