Wolf Brother: Trip Down Memory Lane

Bob Writes…

Hi Michelle,

Recently, my niece asked me who my favourite author was when I was younger. Now, books shaped my childhood. Some of my earliest memories involve me sat with my nose in a book. Yet, there was only one author for whom my nine-year-old self barged other students, preventing them from grabbing the only copy of Wolf Brother.

I'm well into my 20s now, but if I close my eyes, I can still travel to the other world you had so grippingly described. I've just bought the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness series so my niece can experience that world for herself.

Thank you for the escape.

Dear Bob, what a great message to get when I switched on my computer this morning; thank you!  I love that image of your nine-year-old self shouldering aside the other students in order to grab Wolf Brother – and it’s so heartening to know that books shaped your childhood.  I really hope that my stories appeal to your niece too. (And if she enjoys the first six books, she might like to know that a few years after I’d finished Ghost Hunter, I wrote three more books featuring Torak, Renn and Wolf.)  Again, thanks for getting in touch – and may the guardian run with you, and your niece!  With very best wishes, Michelle
