Chronicles of Ancient Darkness

Lynette Writes…

I've just finished reading Spirit Walker with my 10 year old grandson. Actually we were 3 chapters from the end last night but I went out so he finished it himself. He has pronounced it "the best book I've read". So that tops all the Harry Potter books and Percy Jackson 🙂

I don't know if you remember visiting Singapore and visiting some of the international schools? My friend Cheryle and I ran the bookshop Bookaburra which organised the book sales. I bought the first 3 books in the series and kept them for the then unborn grandchildren! Now we have so many more to enjoy and I think Toby will also enjoy listening to Sir Ian read them.

So thank you for a wonderful series and some unforgettable characters! I was sure to tell Toby how you underwent some amazing experiences to be able to bring ancient ways of living to life.

Very best wishes from Aotearoa New Zealand!

Dear Lynette, I remember quite a lot about that visit to Singapore, which I very much enjoyed, particularly my time spent at the international schools, because the teachers were great and the pupils very enthusiastic and well-behaved. Over the years, I’ve signed quite a few books for as yet unborn children, and it’s terrific to know that your forethought has borne fruit, and Toby is now enjoying the Wolf Brother books. I’m also particularly pleased (as no doubt you were too) that he read the final three chapters on his own. He has acquired the skill of getting into a book, which will stand him in good stead. Thank you so much for getting in touch. I hope that Toby continues to enjoy the nine Wolf Brother books – as well as lots more books by other authors too. With very best wishes to you both – and may the guardian run with you! Michelle
