Michelle Replies…

Hello again, Marko.  If I’ve understood your question correctly, you want to know how long it took to write the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness?  It took me about one year to write each of the books.  That might sound a lot, but you see, each one involved lots of work.  I had to plan each story, then do the research (which meant travelling to different places, as well as reading lots of books in libraries) – and then write for months and months, followed by more months of re-writing: cutting out the boring bits, varying the pace, making the plot hang together.  My aim was to write books which would be easy to read, but very hard to put down! I’m so glad you’re enjoying them.  With best wishes, Michelle

An experience like no other. From a writer like no other...

Successfully published as an adult author, the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness (“Wolf Brother”) were her first books for younger readers, followed by her brilliant 5-part series set in the bronze age, Gods and Warriors. On the adult side, her first ghost story, Dark Matter, was a UK bestseller and won massive praise from reviewers and readers alike, as did her second ghost story, Thin Air.
