Why did you decide to write the chronichles of ancient darkness series.

Hello, Willow.  The short answer is that idea for the Wolf Brother books came to me in bits and pieces over the years, and then in 2003 all those bits and pieces suddenly came together (I don’t know why), and I really wanted to write a story about a boy, a girl, a wolf and a large bear in a forest.  At the time I didn’t know that it would grow into a whole series of nine books, and take me all over the Arctic for research, and completely change my life.  I simply wanted to write that story.  You can find more details about this on my website wolfbrother.com (follow the links to the video I recorded about “inspiration for Wolf Brother”).  But that’s why I wanted to write it.  I hope you enjoy the books!  With best wishes, Michelle
